Accessibility Statement

Effective 1 October 2026

1. Our Commitment

Lending A Supporting Hand Foundation (L.A.S.H. Foundation) serves individuals and families in Nevada and Maryland, including people with disabilities. We are committed to making our website, digital content, communications, programs, and events accessible to everyone.

We work to support people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, captions, voice control, and other assistive technologies. We also aim to provide information and services in formats that meet the needs of people with different disabilities.

2. Standards We Follow

Our accessibility efforts are guided by:

  • The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA; and
  • Section 508 accessibility principles and requirements, where applicable.

Our current status is working toward these standards. We do not claim that the website or all of its content fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA or Section 508.

3. Known or Possible Limitations

Known or possible limitations include:

  • Some PDF documents linked from the website may not be fully accessible.
  • Some images may not have complete or accurate alternative text.
  • Third-party embedded content, including video players, payment forms, and other online tools, may not fully support all assistive technologies.
  • Some older or archived content may require additional accessibility review.

4. Our Ongoing Efforts

L.A.S.H. Foundation is taking ongoing steps to improve accessibility, including:

  • Increasing accessibility awareness among staff and volunteers.
  • Testing website content and functionality on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Reviewing accessibility when new pages, forms, documents, and other content are published.
  • Using accessible document formats when preparing or distributing materials.
  • Reviewing reported barriers and considering reasonable improvements or alternative ways to access information.
  • Working to improve the accessibility of website features, forms, communications, and program information over time.

5. Accommodations

L.A.S.H. Foundation seeks to provide reasonable accommodations for people participating in our programs, services, meetings, and events. Depending on the circumstances, accommodations may include:

  • An interpreter;
  • Large-print materials;
  • An accessible meeting location;
  • Captions or other communication assistance;
  • Documents in an alternative format; and
  • Other reasonable support related to a disability.

To request an accommodation, contact us as early as possible using the contact information in Section 6. Please describe the program or event, the accommodation requested, and any timing information that may help us respond.

The LASH Haven emergency shelter is being planned with accessible facility needs in mind. Specific features and availability may depend on the facility, program design, and applicable operational requirements.

6. How to Report a Barrier

Please report website, digital-content, program, or event accessibility barriers through any of the following methods:

  • Phone: 844-527-4243
  • Email: support@lashfoundation.org
  • Mail: L.A.S.H. Foundation, 455 E Pebble Road, Unit 230301, Las Vegas, NV 89105

When reporting a problem, please provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • The page, form, document, or feature involved;
  • A description of the barrier or difficulty;
  • The assistive technology, device, operating system, or browser being used, if known;
  • The steps that led to the problem;
  • The preferred way to be contacted; and
  • Any requested alternative format or accommodation.

Providing this information is optional, but it can help us investigate and respond more effectively. L.A.S.H. Foundation will make reasonable efforts to respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days.

7. Third-Party Content

Some website features, services, videos, payment forms, documents, or links may be provided by third-party technology providers, partner organizations, or other external sources. L.A.S.H. Foundation does not control the accessibility of every third-party platform or external page.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier in third-party content connected to our website or programs, please report it to us. We will consider the available options, which may include helping you locate an alternative way to obtain the information or access the service.

Accessibility concerns may also be raised with the relevant funding agency or, where appropriate, a federal agency with responsibility for the applicable program, service, or accessibility requirement.
