L.A.S.H. Foundation treats client financial and personal information as confidential. Where applicable, we share that information only with the client’s written permission, with confidential service providers necessary to provide the requested service, or when disclosure is required or permitted by law.
A client’s permission may identify the information to be shared, the purpose of the disclosure, and the person or organization receiving it. Permission may be withdrawn when permitted by law, although withdrawal does not affect disclosures already made or disclosures needed to complete a requested service.
4.3 Legal and safety reasons

Donor names and contact details are not sold, traded, rented, or shared with other organizations for their own fundraising or marketing purposes.
Donors may request anonymity or opt out of donor communications at any time by contacting us at support@lashfoundation.org or 844-527-4243. Donation records may still be retained as required for accounting, tax, audit, legal, grant-reporting, or organizational record-keeping purposes.
6. Text Messages
If L.A.S.H. Foundation sends text or SMS messages to clients, donors, volunteers, or other contacts, we obtain prior express consent when required. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services, making a donation, or participating in a program.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages and HELP for help. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP or contacting us directly. Opting out of texts does not necessarily opt a person out of other communications, such as email or phone communications.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website may use cookies and similar technologies in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Needed for website operation, security, form functionality, or requested services;
- Preference cookies: Used to remember selections such as language, display, or consent preferences; and
- Analytics cookies: Used, if enabled, to understand website use and improve website performance and content.
A cookie consent notice is displayed when applicable. Cookie choices may be changed or withdrawn through the website’s cookie-control tools or by changing browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.
The website may receive or process browser privacy signals, including Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals, where supported by the website or its service providers. Because L.A.S.H. Foundation does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, those signals do not authorize such activities. Where applicable, a recognized opt-out signal is treated as a request to limit relevant advertising-related processing.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification, individuals may request:
- Access to personal information;
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Deletion of personal information;
- A portable copy of certain personal information;
- Opt-out of marketing communications; and
- Information about how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.

9. Data Retention
L.A.S.H. Foundation retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and for legal, financial, operational, audit, grant-reporting, safety, and accountability purposes.
The following schedule describes our general retention approach. Actual retention may vary based on the nature of the record, applicable law, funding requirements, unresolved matters, or a valid legal hold.
A deletion request does not require deletion where information must be retained for legal, tax, audit, grant-reporting, record-keeping, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other lawful purposes. When deletion is not possible, we will explain the applicable limitation where required.
10. Data Security
L.A.S.H. Foundation uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These safeguards include:
- Encryption in transit and at rest where supported by the relevant systems;
- Role-based access controls;
- Access limited to staff, volunteers, and service providers who need information for an authorized purpose;
- Confidentiality obligations for staff and volunteers who handle personal information;
- Secure handling of client financial and personal documents; and
- Monitoring, investigation, and response procedures for suspected security incidents.
No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident affects personal information, L.A.S.H. Foundation will investigate, take reasonable steps to contain and remediate the incident, and notify affected people and regulators when required by law or when otherwise appropriate.
11. Children's Privacy
The website is not directed to children under 13, and L.A.S.H. Foundation does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
Minors participating in youth mentorship or other programs generally require parent or legal guardian consent. Information about a minor is handled for program, safety, communication, and legal or administrative purposes and is shared only as permitted by law and applicable consent.
If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has provided personal information without appropriate consent, the parent or guardian may contact us at support@lashfoundation.org or 844-527-4243.
12. Third-Party Links and Content
The website may contain links, embedded content, or functionality provided by third parties. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices, terms, and security measures. L.A.S.H. Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that it does not control.
13. Communication Choices
Individuals may opt out of nonessential marketing or informational communications by using an unsubscribe link in an email, replying STOP to an SMS message, or contacting us by email or phone.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent communications necessary to process a donation, administer a requested service, respond to a request, provide legally required notices, or protect the organization and others.
14. Changes to This Policy
L.A.S.H. Foundation may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, website, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
We will provide notice of material changes through the website or by another reasonable method. The effective date at the top of this policy identifies the current version. This policy is effective as of 1 October 2026.
